Attorney David C. Helm has practiced law in Michigan since 2010.  He earned his J.D. at Thomas M. Cooley Law School and earned his B.S. in Social Science from Eastern Michigan University.

Helm is originally from Novi, Michigan and currently resides in New Hudson. He is a father of two wonderful children and strives to balance his law practice and raising his children.

For Helm, the practice of law is a passion. Helm began his career in the construction industry and has owned several businesses. After a fateful encounter at the Pontiac Silverdome, Helm realized that the law was his future.

While attending at Cooley, Helm interned at the Livingston County Prosecutor’s Office where he conducted his first jury trial. Soon after graduating, he returned to the Prosecutor’s office. However, within a few month’s Helm opened his own law firm, Helm Law.

Attorney Jillianne Engen works as a First Year Associate for Helm Law. Admitted to the Michigan Bar in November 2020, she focuses her practice on estate planning and business law.

While in law school, Jillianne was a member of Law Review and participated in the Honor’s Program. While in law school, Jillianne worked as a legal intern in Liberty University’s Office of Legal Affairs, which exposed her to many different areas of law.
